NOTE: This is Part 1 of a 10-week class; the second part will run during Session B

Class time: 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm

Many of our greatest singer/songwriters have come from the country to our north. This 10-week course will highlight many of the great performers who have made a huge impact on our music here in the US. The course will discuss their histories and present videos of many of their finest songs.  Featured artists will include, but not be limited to, Gordon Lightfoot, Leonard Cohen, Sarah McLachlan, Joni Mitchell, Celine Dion, k. d. lang, Shania Twain, Randy Bachman, and Burton Cummings. Come join us for a fun time as we re-live many of their greatest songs from the 1960’s and onward.

Instructor: Joe Corn spent most of his professional career as a working electrical engineer. His teaching experience has included science and math in the NYC school system, technology instructor at Springfield Technical Community College (STCC), engineering course instructor at Penn State University and technical instructor at Moore Products Co. Since joining WISE 15 years ago, he has taught courses in both technology and music. Joe is past President of WISE. He and his wife Bobbi reside in Grafton.
