Join us as we deep-dive into the ocean of Humor and explore various types of comedy. These include, Observational Humor with comics like David Brenner and Jerry Seinfeld who take everyday life and twist it a little bit, Self-Deprecating Humor with comics like Phyllis Diller and John Mullaney who muse about their own foibles, Dark Humor with comics like Sarah Silverman and Anthony Jeselnik who make light of serious subjects, along with Insult comics like Don Rickles. A spectrum of stand-up comics from the classic Henny Youngman to the improv of Whose Line Is it Anyway ? to local favorite Jimmy Cash.

Students need not have taken Humor 101 or Humor 102 to enjoy this course.

Instructor: Joe Fusco is a Worcester County humorist/stand-up poet/storyteller. He writes a Humor column for Worcester Magazine and features at bookstores, libraries, clubs, and breakfast spots in central Massachusetts. He hosts the Richard Fox Poetry Series at the Broadway Restaurant in Worcester and The Poetry Extravaganza at The Mill in West Boylston. Joe taught Humor 101 and Humor 102 at WISE in 2023 and 2024, respectively, to modest accolades.
