This is a collaborative course among five WISE instructors, each teaching one of the weekly sessions focused on a key event, trend, or development from 1926 within their area of expertise. Course attendees will enjoy a setting that allows instructors to interact and share knowledge across their disciplines through a common topic or theme. Topics are focused on those that made significant impact in 1926 that have long-term meaning, not just catchy headlines. They were the start of something that continues to shape today’s world. The course will focus on major developments in five areas: education, highways & transportation, industry, literature, and journalism.
