Why Consider This Gift?
- Your gift will be put to use right away, contributing to the daily operations of the WISE program.
- If you are required to take minimum distributions, you can use your gift to satisfy all or part of your obligation.
- You pay no income taxes on the gift. The transfer generates neither taxable income nor a tax deduction, so you benefit even if you do not itemize your deductions.
- Since the gift doesn’t count as income, it can reduce your annual income level. This may help lower your Medicare premiums and decrease the amount of Social Security that is subject to tax.
Have you considered a legacy gift?
A bequest in your will or living trust is one of the best ways to make a lasting contribution to WISE. It is simple to establish; just add a sentence or two to your existing will or trust. It is flexible; you can modify your bequest at any time.
Consult with your attorney or financial advisor on the best option for you.
